1. The Necessity of the Gospel
Without the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ people are eternally separated from God. The Gospel is the power of God for the Salvation of everyone who believes (Rom 1:16). And, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Rom 10:13). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
2. Dependence on God
Faith in God and dependence on him has been built into the fabric of the mission since its foundation. This is demonstrated in our commitment to prayer as the primary strategy for every aspect of our mission. Every other strategy must follow prayer and be consistent with the values of the Kingdom of God. We do not shy away from the great challenge of our vision. With God all things are possible.
3. The value of hearing the message
"Faith comes from hearing the message" (Rom 10:17) For those who do not, cannot or will not read, hearing may be the only way they can receive the word of God. Even for many who do read, hearing the message, communicated in culturally appropriate ways, under the power of the Holy Spirit can have a profound impact. Recordings are one effective way of enabling people to hear the message.
4. Concern for small people groups
No people or language group will be ruled out of GRN's strategy simply because of its size. If proper research indicates that recordings are needed for the people to hear the Gospel, with God's help, GRN will try to meet that need.
5. An attitude of thankful praise
We take to heart the Scriptural injunctions to be joyful always and give thanks in all circumstances (1 Thess. 5:16-18). It is our desire to reflect the joy of the Lord even under difficult circumstances.
