Corps du texte

(ACTS 16:23-32, 34) From God's Word, hear the true experience of two believers. (PAUSE 3 SEC.)

ACTS 16:23 And when they had laid many stripes upon Paul and Silas (*) they cast them into prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.

25 (PAUSE 3 SEC.) And at midnight they prayed, and sang praises unto God; and the other prisoners heard them. (HAVE MEN SINGING OR PAUSE 8 SEC.)

26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake (PAUSE 5 SEC.) so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's bands were loosed.

27 And the keeper of the prison, awaking out of his sleep and seeing the prison doors open, drew out his sword and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had fled.

28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, (HEY, OR HOO HOO) saying, "Do yourself no harm; for we are all here.

29 (*) Then he called for a light and sprang in and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas.

30 And brought them out, (PAUSE 3 SEC.) and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

3l And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house."

32 And they spake unto him the Word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

34 (*) And when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. (PAUSE 4 SEC.)

JOHN 1:12 - But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name.

ACTS 10:43 - To Jesus give all the prophets witness, that through His Name whoever believes in Him shall receive remission of sins.

Perhaps you want to believe and be saved, but you don't know how to go about it. This may help you. If you can, get down on your knees and close your eyes. Speak right out to God Whom you cannot see with your eyes, but Who is very near and hears every word you say. Tell Him you believe. Say, "Dear Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again from the grave, and that His blood cleanses my heart from all sin. Thank you for this gift of eternal life. I now give myself to You and ask You to put Your Holy Spirit in my heart to live there and keep me from sinning. Help me to tell others of Your love. In the name of my precious Saviour, Jesus Christ, Amen."

Sound effects: Midnight gongs; earthquake noises, quick footsteps; gate clanking; voices; music.
