Wokabaut is one of the best opportunities you may ever have to combine your Christian faith with the pleasure of adventure, and experience cross cultural mission first hand. Three weeks discovering a new culture and more of the world that the Lord has created and given to you. Discover resources and skills you didn't know you had - resources you have from a living God who holds you and carries you where he wants you to go.
On Wokabaut you will travel to towns and remote villages, on anything from 747s to canoes, and even on foot. You will have opportunity to share your faith with someone else, while helping GRN distribute cassettes of the Good News in the heart language of the people.
Highlights of the Wokabaut tour include
- Experiencing Melanesian Culture
- Seeing the people in the language groups visited and blessed
- Relaxing with the local people
- Meeting the local GRN workers and hearing about their experiences
- Learning first hand the effects of reverse culture shock on return to Australia
At the end of the journey, you will rejoice in the goodness of God in your life.
"While in PNG I have seen there is so much to do. I have been made aware of how much God wants from me." - Peter
"Wokabaut provided invaluable experience about missionary work, my Christian walk and life in general" - Stephen
