Umbhalo Weskripthi
"The blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, cleanses us from all sin." You are sinners. Here the apostle speaks and you understand clearly what he says, that this peacemaker has power. What is that of warning? Listen with understanding.
About whom does the apostle speak? The apostle says the blood of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, cleanses us from all sin. Who is Christ? God gave Him that we may be saved by Him, born of the virgin Mary, as the Son of God. He is the One about Whom the angels sang with joy and said He is the Saviour. "Today is born for us the Saviour which is Christ, the Lord." He is the Saviour, who was born in Bethlehem. "And she shall bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins." (Matt.1:21). This saying is about Jesus. By this you can clearly see that Jesus' blood has power.
There are two reasons why Jesus is able to save us: 1) He is God's Son, and 2) Jesus shed His blood for us. Be certain how the apostle says that this is the blood of the Son of God, and hold it to your heart.
"For when we were yet without strength, in due time, Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet peradventure, for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commends His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom.5:6-8). For this reason, "...if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"(Rom.10:9-10).
My brothers, God created the world in the beginning and then created man. He made all things. He can do everything; He is our God. He has given us His only begotten Son, He who has no one before Him, or after Him. God shows that He loves the world by doing this. And, when the only begotten Son of God, took on our flesh, He became our brother as well as our Saviour. Our God did not give an angel or a righteous man to cleanse us from sin. It is impossible. Because God gave Christ, He is the only one able to cleanse us from sin. He is equal with God, and so His blood can cleanse us from our sin. He only can save us.
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
