God's Peace Payment

Brothers, in past years there was no peace in our village. We took the heads of all people from other tribes (villages) Sometimes we took heads; sometimes our own heads were taken. Occasionally a village lost almost all its men. Then they would seek peace. In order to have peace, the village which killed more people had to pay fully. The peace payment must be paid in full before making peace. Only then peace is permanent. Then those villages can intermarry and visit each other without fear - like their own family.

God's Book, the Bible, says God has also fully paid a peace payment. Perhaps someone will ask, "Are we God's enemies? We do not obey the Lord God's laws, so we are God's enemies. God has told us His laws for us. But we go our own way - we think bad thoughts about our brothers. We do bad things. We lie. We kill. Although we are God's enemies, God loves us. God's love is so big that He made the peace payment even while we were still enemies.

God became a man. The name of that man is the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus died, paying in full for peace for us. God's peace payment was costly. God paid with the life of the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus died instead of us. Then He lived again. When we receive the Lord Jesus we are at peace with God. God will take us to live with Him in His village when we die. His village is called Heaven. (Heaven is a very good place. There is no sickness there. There is no suffering or crying - only happiness. There is no darkness or evil spirits. There is no death. In Heaven there are only good things because Heaven is God's place.)

If we refuse God's peace payment, we remain God's enemies. God will punish all who refuse His peace payment. On the last (judgment) day, the Lord God will send His angels to destroy all God's enemies. These are the devil, and all spirits that don't obey God; and all people who worship the spirits of the people whose heads were taken and all who do not obey God. Even this earth will be destroyed in God's punishment. Trees, houses, land and even water will be burned up. All God's enemies will suffer in the fire of hell forever. They will remember that they refused the Lord God's peace payment.

Brothers, make peace with God. Receive the Lord Jesus today. You will join God's family when you follow the Lord Jesus. God will forgive your sin. He will help you live to please God. Receive God's peace payment today, and find real peace. You can talk to God. He will hear you. Tell Him you will receive His peace payment. Tell Him you believe in the Lord Jesus, and you want to belong to His family.
