اسکرپٹ کا متن

Title ideas:Joseph became a slave and a prisoner.Joseph was faithful to [trusted] God during a difficult time.God made Joseph successful [blessed] even when people abused him.

Joseph’s ten older brothers were jealous of him. They hated him, so they sold him to traveling slave traders.

These traders then took Joseph on a long trip to Egypt.

After the traders arrived in Egypt, they sold Joseph to Potiphar, who was one of the king’s officials. Potiphar was the captain of the soldiers who protected the Pharaoh, the king of Egypt.

Joseph was able to do his work very well, and he was successful in everything he did, because God was helping him.

When Potiphar saw that the Lord gave Joseph success, he made Joseph manager over all his household and over everything he owned. The Lord blessed Potiphar’s household because of Joseph.

Joseph had a strong, handsome body.

Potiphar’s wife liked to look at Joseph, and she wanted to be with him [to have sex with him].

But Joseph refused her, because he did not want to sin against God and against his master, Potiphar. Joseph stayed away from her [the woman] as much as possible, even though she kept asking [seducing / enticing] him.

And then, one day, when no one else was around [nearby],

Potiphar’s wife grabbed Joseph by his outer cloak [clothes] and said to him, “Have sex with me!”

While she [the woman] held on to Joseph’s cloak [outer clothes], he left her so quickly that she held his cloak in her hands as he ran out of the house!

When Potiphar's wife saw that she held Joseph’s cloak, she screamed and called the other servants. They came running to her.

She shouted, “Look! That Hebrew tried to rape [force] me! But when I screamed, he left his cloak and ran out of the house.”

When Potiphar returned home, she repeated the same lie to him. “Your slave, Joseph, tried to rape me! But I screamed and he ran away. See, here is his coat!”

When Potiphar heard that, he became very angry. So he took [arrested] Joseph and put him into prison where Pharaoh’s prisoners were confined.

God was with Joseph in prison, and gave him success in everything he did. After a while, the jailor trusted Joseph completely, and put him in charge of all the other prisoners.

Sometime later, two high officials did things that angered Pharaoh, so he put them in prison. One was the chief drink server and the other was the chief baker. The jailor assigned Joseph was to watch [guard] those men.

One night, the two men each had a dream. The next morning when Joseph came to them, he saw that both of them looked worried. So he said, “Why do you both look so sad?”

They said, “We both had dreams last night but no one is able to tell us the meaning.” The chief drink server said, “In my dream I saw a grape vine with three branches that grew flowers and then grapes. I squeezed the grapes into Pharaoh’s cup and gave it to him to drink.”

God immediately helped Joseph know the meaning for the dream, so he replied to the man, “This is the meaning of your dream. Within three days, Pharaoh will release you from prison and let you do the work you did before.

But when you are out of prison, do not forget about me. Tell Pharaoh about me, so he will release me. For [because] slave traders took me away from the land of my people, the Hebrews, and I have done nothing for which I deserved to be kept in prison.”

Then the chief baker told Joseph his dream. ”In my dream I was carrying three baskets of bread on my head for Pharaoh.

But birds were eating from the top basket that was on my head.”

God again helped Joseph know the meaning of the dream, so he replied to the man, “Within three days Pharaoh will command his soldiers to cut your head off. Birds will come and eat your flesh [dead body].”

The third day after that was Pharaoh’s birthday. He invited all his officials to celebrate his birthday.

During the celebration, Pharaoh restored the chief wine server to his job.

And Pharaoh ordered soldiers to cut off the chief baker’s head, and to hang [impale] his body on a pole, just as Joseph said Pharaoh would do.

But the chief drink server did not think about Joseph. Instead, he forgot to do what Joseph asked him to do.

But God was with Joseph [in prison].
