1. CANADA - The Canada Post strike is preventing the Praise and Prayer and the GRN Newsletter from being mailed. This also affects the income for the mission. Pray for a quick settlement between the Unions and Canada Post.
2. CANADA - The Board is continuing the search for a new director as David Elliott plans on retiring in the near future. Adds have been put in various Christian Bible Colleges. Pray that the person of God's choosing will come forward.
4. INDIA - Praise God for the Kumbhar Language helpers who have continued to turn up from distant locations to lend their voices for the recordings. Pray that they will continue to support the project and help complete the recordings on schedule.
5. KENYA - Pray for Walter and James as they explore recording opportunities in several languages across Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Pray too as they plan distribution of recently recorded materials and work with local partners.
6. INTERNATIONAL - We thank God for the leaders we have in GRN worldwide but Canada and South Korea both need new Centre leaders. Indonesia and Papua New Guinea also have challenges; both are countries with many unrecorded languages. Pray for people to be called to meet these needs.
7. YOUTUBE FEEDBACK - Praise the Lord that most of our programs are now on YouTube. This is helping many people discover GRN materials for the first time. There have been many appreciative comments, such as this one: "This is really awesome. May God bless the works of your hands. I can improve my Arabic and also access the Gospel in another language."
8. CANADA - Pray for the Board as they plan for the retirement of David Elliott. Bill Pearson (Board treasurer), will be in the office today to learn what jobs need to be transferred to a new person.
9. GRN's RESOURCES - Pray for growing awareness of our resources, so that more people can find our resources and share the Gospel in different languages.
10. EUROPE - Pray for the volunteers using GRN's materials to reach out to migrants and refugees in Italy, Greece and France. May the Lord bless them and make their work fruitful.
11. BANGLADESH - Give thanks for our team in Bangladesh. Pray for God's guidance and protection to be over all areas of their lives and ministry. May they rejoice, persevere and be encouraged, even as they work in a difficult and often hostile country.
12. AFRICA - Yousif and Vivian are hoping to record the Moru and Shilluk languages of South Sudan, pray that suitable translation and language helpers will be found.
13. PHILIPPINES - Our team is so excited to see their Sunday School materials being well received. They are now editing their latest recordings in a sensitive language. Pray as they seek new team members: a trainee recordist and another to build church relationships.
14. INTERNATIONAL - Pray for Tim Strauss, the International Director, as he follows up on the discussions and decisions made by the International Leadership Team.
15. INDIA - We praise the Lord that partners in India are recording Look, Listen & Live in the Kumbhar language, pray this will go well and that the resulting recordings will bring many to faith in the Lord.
16. GRN BIBLE PICTURES - There is an increasing need to expand the range of Bible pictures that GRN uses to accompany many of our recordings. This includes adapting some for different cultural situations and adding new pictures to cover parts of the Bible that currently have no pictures. Pray for these efforts.
17. NATIONS IN TURMOIL - Many nations are currently in turmoil. Pray that GRN recordings will be found by speakers of affected languages and for God's grace to grant them saving faith. Pray for opportunities to record in these languages and for wisdom to record the most appropriate messages.
18. THAILAND - Our Thai team writes: "Please pray for the Nyaw who received MP3 players to listen to the recordings and come to know Christ. Pray for wisdom and direction for GRNT to work with the new Nyaw Christian friends that we met on our trip in June."
19. PAKISTAN - Give thanks for the Pakistan team as they visually record their local sign language. Pray for them as they faithfully reach many other areas too. Pray for safety as they travel into remote and challenging areas.
20. CANADA - Diane Roberts, the financial assistant comes into the office today to do the monthly payroll. Give thanks, that Diane has volunteered in this role for many years.
21. MYANMAR - Travel is impossible for our workers in Myanmar due to the civil war so pray they will find opportunities to record languages and dialects locally.
22. SOUTH AFRICA - Dionara Pires from Brazil is visiting South Africa to work with Oral Bible Translators from Mozambique and Angola. Pray for Dionara to settle in well and develop good relationships with these Portuguese-speaking teams.
23. INTERNATIONAL - Pray for the information systems team in Australia. Ask the Lord to protect our work from malicious online attacks and to strengthen their hands.
24. AUSTRALIA - Pray for the new studios being built in Australia; that the process will go well and that in future the new studios will be used to make many recordings that will spread the Gospel in many languages.
25. YOUTUBE - We praise God that all our recordings in over 6,500 languages are now available on YouTube. Pray that many people across the world will hear the message of Jesus' love and salvation.
26. URBANA CONFERENCE - GRN USA are planning for Urbana, a huge conference for 18 to 25-year-olds, where about 50 mission organizations will be represented. They are praying that young people with specific technical and other skills will be called to the work of GRN.
27. KENYA - The team in Kenya is talking to Bodei pastors about recording in their language. Pray the team will find the right language helpers for this project.
28. NETHERLAND - Pray for the team in the Netherlands; that they will have opportunities to make the work better known to potential supporters and potential users of our materials.
29. MEXICO - Pray for our GRN team in Mexico. The Chihuahua Project and Baja Project are annual distribution trips to agricultural camps in the north of Mexico, held in August and October respectively. Pray for many to be receptive to the Gospel.
30. INTERNATIONAL - Pray for recording teams worldwide as they research the needs of people groups, they wish to reach. Pray for wisdom to choose content that is relevant, engaging, and clearly communicates God's truth.
31. KENYA - Pray for Walter and James as they plan for distribution and work on one more recording project before the end of the year.
