Creation to Christ

Take the book with the picture of the tree on it. Turn the page and look at the first picture. When you hear this noise (BEEP) turn to the next picture.

At one time there was no sun, moon, stars, clouds, water or ground. Only God lived above. God made the ground and the sky. God made the sun, moon and stars. God made the mountains and the water. God made the trees, the grass and all our food. God made the animals, the birds and the fish. God made this earth for men to live in and be happy. All that God created was good.
BEEP

God made man and woman too. The name of the first man was Adam. God said, “It is not good for man to be alone” and so God made a woman. Adam named his wife Eve. Now God put Adam and Eve into His good garden which He had made for them. God made man and woman so that they could walk and talk with Him. God said, “You can eat the fruit of all the trees, but there is one tree which you cannot eat from. If you eat from this tree you will die. God said this. Now there is one big bad spirit named Satan. He is the father of all evil spirits. Satan lied to Eve and said, “If you eat of the forbidden tree you will not die, but you will become like God and know all things.” Eve listened to Satan and disobeyed God. She ate the forbidden fruit and then gave it to Adam. So God banished Adam and Eve from His good garden and so they were separated from God.
PAUSE

Look at the next picture. These two men are fighting. Because Adam and Eve disobeyed God, Adam and Eve’s children also disobeyed. Adam and Eve had two children. The names of their first two sons were Cain and Abel. God said, “Because of your sin you must make an offering to me. You must kill a sheep and the blood of the sheep will cover your sins (before my eyes).” Now that is what God said. One day, Abel brought a sheep offering to God, but Cain brought some fruit from a garden. God accepted Abel’s offering because Abel loved and obeyed God. But Cain disobeyed God and so God rejected his offering. Now Cain is very angry because God had not accepted his offering and so he killed his brother Abel.

What is the story behind this picture? Adam and Eve had more children and these children grew up and they had their children. Now there were plenty of people and many people disobeyed God. Now God said, “I will send a big rain and flood to destroy them.” That’s what God said. Now there was only one man who obeyed God. His name was Noah. God said to Noah, “Noah, you build a big ship so that when the rain comes you and your family can go in and be saved.” All the people laughed at Noah as he was building the ship because they didn’t believe a big flood could come. After the ship was built Noah and his family went inside. Then it rained forty days and forty nights until the water covered the ground. All the people drowned. Only Noah and his family were saved. After some time the water went down and Noah and his family came out of the ship and commenced work again.
PAUSE

After the flood Noah’s children had many more children. God made some strong laws so that they would know the right things to do. These are some of God’s laws. Now you look at the picture – the people are worshipping the statue of a cow. God said you must not worship anything made of wood or stone. You must worship only God. You see the man stealing the pig. God says men must not steal anything. In the middle you see some people praying to God. God says six days men must work and one day they not work but worship God.

In another picture you see a child caring for its parents. God says children must obey their parents. In the last picture you see a man committing adultery with another man’s wife. God forbids adultery. God is angry with all people who break His laws.
BEEP

Every man’s life is full up of all wrong things – lies, fighting, hating, stealing. You see the man in the pictures. The rope is binding a heavy load to his back. The rope is very strong and the man cannot take the load from his back. Our sins are like a big heavy load on our back. We cannot stop doing the wrong things and so God will punish us. Listen! God has made a way for us to get rid of our load of sin. He wants us to live happy lives and not be burdened down with sin.
PAUSE

Look at the next picture. Before, people had to sacrifice a sheep to God. This sacrifice only covered men’s sin, it didn’t take their sin away. Many years later God sent His only Son, Jesus to the ground. He was the one perfect sacrifice for the sin of all men. Jesus allowed bad men to kill Him and His blood ran to take away the sin of all men. Today if men want to get rid of the burden of their sin, then they must accept the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus, God’s Son cleanses us from all sin.

You see in the picture, many people who did not follow God are going to the place of fire. This is the place prepared for Satan and all who follow him. God does not want people to go to the place of fire. He wants them to go to His good place. The Place where God lives in Heaven. Would you like to know how you can go to Heaven? Well I want to tell you about Jesus. He is the only one who can forgive our sins and take us to Heaven.
PAUSE

You see in the picture, many people who did not follow God are going to the place of fire. This is the place prepared for Satan and all who follow him. God does not want people to go to the place of fire. He wants them to go to His good place. The Place where God lives in Heaven. Would you like to know how you can go to Heaven? Well I want to tell you about Jesus. He is the only one who can forgive our sins and take us to Heaven.
PAUSE

You see in the picture Jesus was born in a place like this. It was a house where cattle lived. The night Jesus was born many of God’s angels came and said to some shepherds, “We are here with good news for you, which will bring great joy to all people. On this night a woman has born God’s only Son.” That is what the angels said. The shepherds heard this talk from the angels and went to see Jesus.
PAUSE

When Jesus grew up to be a man he worked like you and me. He knew tiredness and pain and temptation like other men; but Jesus never did wrong. Jesus was a man but He also is God. Jesus did many wonderful works. Many people followed Jesus because they saw the miracles which He did. You see in the picture Jesus is walking on the water towards the men in the boat. The men in the boat were frightened because it was dark and they thought Jesus was a spirit. Jesus is ruler of the sea. He is the Son of God. That is why He could walk on the water. In the middle picture you see Jesus. He healed a leper. Jesus has power to heal all kinds of sickness and He can still do this today. In the other picture you can see Jesus. He healed a man who was born blind. Jesus caused this man to see. Jesus has all power. There is nothing too hard for Jesus to do. Jesus raised people from the dead. Jesus is truly God.

Many people who followed Jesus wanted to make Him their king. Jesus told the people about God. He obeyed the laws of God and the government too. The religious leaders did not like Jesus’ talk and they took Him to court. After the court the soldiers hit Jesus and spat in His face. They put a ring of thorns on His head like a king. They made fun of Him. Jesus didn’t fight back or run away. Why did Jesus allow them to do these things to Him? Jesus had come to die as a sacrifice for men’s sins. His heart was full of kindness and love for those who beat Him and killed Him. The people did not understand that God had sent His Son to die for the sins of all people.
PAUSE

In Jesus’ time the government killed some bad men by nailing them to a cross. You see in the picture the soldiers have nailed Jesus through His hands and feet and stood the cross in the ground. Jesus was being punished for the sins and wrong doing of all people. Because Jesus had never sinned, He was the only one who could die for your sin and mine. Only the blood of Jesus can wash away the sin out of our lives. His blood makes men’s lives clean and fit for heaven.

After Jesus died two of His disciples put His body in a cave and rolled a big stone to the door. Before Jesus died He said, “I will be in the grave three days and then I will come alive again.” An angel came and rolled the stone away and the grave was opened. The soldiers saw this and were afraid and ran away. The Bible says that God’s great power raised Jesus from the dead. In the picture you can see Jesus is showing His hand and his feet to the woman. Jesus was not the ghost of a dead man. He showed the scars of the nails to prove He was the one who died. Jesus will live forever and will never die again.
PAUSE

Jesus stayed on this ground forty days after He came alive from the dead and 500 people saw Him while He was walking around. During this time, Jesus said to His disciples, “Now I am going back to my Father in heaven to build many houses for all men who will obey my words and follow my ways. Anyone who obeys me will have that new kind of life that never finishes. This picture shows Jesus leaving His friends and the ground and going back to Heaven.

In this picture you see people walking over a bridge. They are trusting the bridge will not break. The meaning of this picture is that when Jesus died on the cross He made a way for us to go to Heaven. If you want to be free from your sin you must ask Jesus to come into your life and forgive your sins. Jesus is the bridge to Heaven. You must turn your back on sin and obey and trust yourself to Jesus. If you want to obey Jesus you can pray to Him like this. “Jesus I know I am a sinner. Thank you for dying for my sin. I believe your blood can wash away all my sin. I want you to come into my life and give me this new kind of life your promised. I want to obey you every day. Thank you Jesus for hearing my prayer.” People who pray like this, Jesus will hear them.

You see in the picture plenty of people are not following Jesus and are going to the place of fire. Are you like those people or are you like the other people who are following Jesus and going to Heaven?
