Texto do roteiro

Once a long time ago as God was watching the people of the world, He became very sad for they were becoming so wicked. (crowd) They were just bad all the time. You see God had told them how to be good and was ready to help them if they would let Him, but they just hadn't listened and obeyed. He said to Himself, "I will just have to destroy them all for they are getting worse and worse."

I think God was very sad about it all. Maybe He was thinking about the babies and saying, "If I don't destroy these sinful people more babies will be born and grow up to be wicked and unhappy, for there is no one to teach them to be good."

There was just one man who loved God and obeyed Him. It was Noah. God told him He was going to send storms and rain until everyone would drown, but He told Noah to build a ship--they called it an ark--so he and his family would be saved.

So Noah began, and all the time he preached to the people telling them the flood was coming. (building in background) But I guess the wicked people just laughed and said, "Rain? Flood? You're crazy, Noah. Crazy as a loon, we don't see any flood. We haven't heard God speak; you've been dreaming." Well, Noah did his best to warn them and all the time he kept working. Now God had said to take in some of all the different kinds of animals so they wouldn't drown. So one day Noah began to load on the animals. In they went: by two's and sevens into the ark. Say, don't you imagine there was a lot of noise? All kinds of animals; cows, and pigs and bears, lions, horses and camels, tigers; and all sorts of birds.

I suppose many people came and watched but they didn't want to get on the ship. It hadn't even begun to rain and they just made fun of Noah and called him crazy, I guess. But when all was ready, Noah and his family went in and God shut the door. (slam).

After seven days it began to rain just as God had said. (rain) Puddles got bigger and bigger until they were lakes. And they got deeper and deeper. The people began to wonder and they began to get scared. I suppose they came and pounded on the door to get in but it was too late.

Noah couldn't open the door because when God shuts the door,it's shut! Well, soon the ark began to float. And it kept on raining for days and days and all the wicked people were drowned, but not Noah and his family. They were safe because they had believed God. They lived in the ark a whole year until the water dried up, and at last the door was opened and they all went out - so glad to feel the warm sunshine again.

Then God promised He would never send another flood to destroy everyone, and He made the rainbow to remind us of His promise.

But although He will never send another flood over the whole world, God says that everyone who won't listen and believe Him will be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord. They will not have eternal life in heaven. Some people, like those who were drowned, don't want to listen to God's warning. They just laugh and say, "Punished? WE? Punished? I've never heard of it. You're crazy as can be."

But when it is time to die they are afraid like the people were when the flood came.

Don't wait until it is too late and the door to heaven is shut. Believe God and take Jesus to be your Saviour. He will be for you just like the ark was for Noah. Listen. Jesus says, "I am the door. By me if any man enter in he shall be saved."
