Skripttekst
Hello, there! You know what I'm thinking about? Well--about a friend of mine. His name is Bob and he's about --oh-- just about your size. We were out walking the other day --Bob and I-- out in the woods. The sun was warm, the wind cool, and say! The woods were just full of interesting things birds everywhere, and butterflies, shiny beetles; humming buzzing bees gathering honey from the flowers; and chattering chipmunks scampered about while noisy blue jays scolded them as we walked along the path.
After a while we came out in a clearing on a hill. We sat down on a big flat gray rock and looked down in the valley below. Away down there was a river, but it was so far away it looked like a shiny silver ribbon curling around through the trees. We sat there watching the river and the snow-topped mountains. The white clouds, and the blue sky. What a beautiful world!
All of a sudden Bob said, "Where did the world come from?"
Well! that's a big question, but if you have the right book--the Bible-- you can find the answer to all the big questions anyone ever asks. So I told him, "God made the world!"
"How do you know?" said Bob
"The Bible says so!" I replied. "Listen! `In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth'. And, when it says God, that means Jesus too, you know."
Long, long ago when the world began, everything was all dark. Then God said, "Let there be Light!" and there was light. And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. Then He created the sky, the earth, and the big oceans.
On the earth he put trees and flowers with a soft carpet of grass. In the sky, He placed the sun to shine by day, and the moon and stars to shine by night. I guess if God could do that he can do anything.
Now, in the water he put the great big whales, the fish, and the little frogs-- all sorts of things that live in water. To fly in the sky, he made big strong birds like the eagle, and pretty little birds like the canary. I imagine you can name lots of birds, can't you?! God made them all!
Well, what do you think came next? Animals! kittens, lambs, cows, horses, elephants, tigers, and all the others kinds.
Then, best of all, God created a man and put him in the earth. I think God wanted someone to talk to: someone to love and worship Him, don't you?! He called this first man, Adam, and then God made a wife for Adam to help him and keep him from being lonely. Adam called her Eve, and for a while they were very happy in their garden.
"Well," said Bob, " if God made the world and us too, he must be powerful!" I said, "Bob you're right! Nothing is too hard for God. In fact, He is still creating things!" Bob said "He is? What, for instance?".
"He is creating new clean hearts. I know, because he did it in me. You see, before God made the birds, he prepared the sky for them. Before He made the animals, he made the earth and food for them. Before He made the whales and fish He made the waters for them to live in. Before Adam was created God prepared a Garden, and before you and I were ever born, God gave Jesus to save us from our sins and create clean hearts in us."
