Scenarijaus tekstas
My dear friends, it is necessary that we stop to think about spiritual and eternal things. It is, of course, necessary that we think every day about the common necessities of our physical lives. Rice and other things must be provided for our homes and families, as well as ourselves. But since we pass through this world but once, the most necessary thing of all is that we find the way of salvation, and eternal life.
In the Bible we are told, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
First of all, we notice that according to God's Word, the wages of sin is death. Every one of us has sinned. In the whole world, there is not one person who has not broken God's law. So not one of us can stand before the judgment bar of a holy God. It is impossible that sin should enter the holy presence of a righteous God. Since we are sinners, the wages of our sin is death and eternal punishment. Of our own merit, not one of us could stand before a holy God.
But the good news from God's Word is this: God Himself has provided forgiveness and the way of salvation. Jesus Christ came into this world and lived a perfect life. In Him was no sin, and yet of His own free will He gave His life a ransom for sin. He Himself became the final pure and holy sacrifice. He died upon the cross to pay the full price for the ransom from sin for everyone who comes to Him in faith.
The only true Mediator and Intercessor is Jesus Christ. He is our only Saviour. He alone can save us from our sin. In the Bible, God's true book, it tells us that God will forgive the sins of all who repent and believe on Jesus, and follow Him with a true heart.
But there is yet another step in God's plan of salvation. Christ not only gave His life on the cross as a ransom for sinners, but He rose from the dead the third day to bring life and immortality to light. He lives. With love beyond measure He calls to each one of us, "Come unto Me and I will give you salvation and life eternal." He not only forgives our sin, but gives us the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome sin and live a pure life. So we, through faith in Jesus Christ, may have our sins forgiven and find the gift of God - eternal life. Now each one of us may come personally and directly to God through Jesus Christ. Close your eyes and open your lips to speak to Him from your heart, words like these: "Dear God, I confess my sins to You, and I ask You to forgive me and make me Your child. I give You thanks for Your salvation through Jesus Christ and His shed blood. I now accept Him as my Saviour. Amen."
