In these difficult times, the general public, chaplains, soldiers, their children are struggling with many questions:
Where is God? Does He care? Why the suffering? How do I approach God? Is He aproachable? How does He make sense in the world we live in?
Program titles:

- Who is God and what makes Him unique - continue
- What do followers of God believe?
- God and Creation.
- The Fall of mankind.
- Man's condition after the Fall.
- God's Commitment to mankind.

- find it hard to explain their faith to their children,
- find that the struggles of life overshadow their faith,
- find it hard to make sense of God in a suffering world,
- blame God for bad things that happened to them or their loved ones
Author: Dr Jacobus de Bruyn (2009: PhD degree in Old Testament Science at University of Pretoria;
2016: MA (Greek) at North West University (Potchefstroom); post-doctoral researcher and minister.
Translator and presenter: Johan van der Colff.
The English video series we recorded last year is available online here.
Prepping the content:
Before we record the chaplains are now sitting with a few soldiers who returned from the field, to see if they can add/adapt it according to the specific needs of people particularly on the frontlines.
To save costs we will do an audiovisual video format, but not live presentation shoots - we will do cutaways and created visuals to go with the presentation.
Producers: Johan van der Colff and Jacobus de Bruyn
Translation cost: R7,500,000 ($645 AUD or 360 Euro)
Recording and editing cost: R7,900 ($680 AUD or 380 Euro)
Visuals and video compilation: R15,000 ($1,290 AUD or 722 Euro)
TOTAL COST OF PRODUCTION: R30,400 ($2,615 AUD or 1,462 Euro)
This content would be good to be used in outreach, in churches, by trauma groups, but good for sharing also on the frontline via 5fish.
Thank you for helping us to reach out to those in need.
