JOHN 3:16
My friends, what good news this is! (Either quote John 3:16, or if this is not available, use the following: God loved the people of the world very much. He did not want them to perish because of their sins. For this reason He gave His only Son to die, instead. Whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life). God loves us. He does not want us to perish in our sins. All people have sinned and turned away from God. What is the result of sin? It is hell. Yet all people in the world have sin. Is there a way of salvation? Many seek salvation by their own wisdom and efforts. (Gaining merit, pilgrimages etc). But God knew that we could not save ourselves. Therefore God Himself has given us a Saviour.
This Saviour died for our sins. He Himself had no sin. But on the cross He became the one sacrifice for the sins of all the world.
Then the Saviour arose again from death. He is the living Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. "God so loved the world that He gave His Son, Jesus Christ". What a great gift this salvation is! This salvation is for each one who will take
it. This salvation is such that the man who receives it will be born anew. The person who believes truly in Jesus receives the gift of everlasting life. Only the person who has this new life can stand before God. Even though he dies, his everlasting life will continue. He will live in God's good place. Friend, have you heard this good news? Have you received God's Saviour, Jesus?
JESUS SAYS COME
SONG: Jesus said, "Come unto me and I will give you rest."
Jesus said, "Come unto me and I will give you rest." Only Jesus can take away our sins. Only Jesus can give us rest. Jesus is the Son of God. He spoke the words of God. The words of Jesus are true. He said, "Love your enemies" (the ones who are not your friends). Pray for them that treat you mean. Jesus said, "Praise God in all things." He said, "Love all people".
SONG: "Jesus' words are good. How can I keep them, I am weak." Jesus said, "Keep my words in your heart." Jesus said, "You are weak. I am strong." Jesus said, "If you ask me, I will give you help. I will walk with you. Then you will be strong."
SONG: "I am happy. Jesus walks with me. Jesus helps me." Friend, believe in Jesus. His power is great. He will help you. He will take away your sins. He will make your heart good. When you die, He will take you to His good place.
