Handritstexti
1 Banya, what are you reading? (use names with caution)
2 God's Holy Book, the Bible. It tells of the destruction of the world. This world is in terrible danger, Kama. It is not enduring. It will be destroyed.
1 How can you say, "This world is not enduring?" It has always been the same since I was born. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. What do you mean it won't last?
2. It is true, Kama. Things do seem the same. But God has set a day when He will judge and destroy the world by fire. The Bible says, "This day is surely coming, as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise. The heavenly bodies will disappear in fire. The earth and everything on it will be burned up." (Living Letters II Pet. 3:10)
1 These are solemn words. Buddha, too, says, "All is vanity and perishable."
2 True. Man lives in this world as if he will live here forever. He gets more and more perishable things. He is still unhappy. God says to man, "The things which you can see are perishable. Seek the imperishable things, because they will not disappear." God will never die. Our spirits will never die. So we should seek the things of God. Think! Everything has a counterpart. There is north and south, evil and good, tall and short, few and much, heavy and light, heaven and hell. For whom is heaven prepared? For those who believe and follow the Son of God in this life. For whom is hell prepared? The devil and his demons... for the Bible says, "All who follow Satan's works, arrive in Satan's place after death: the covetous; the evil-hearted but pious-speaking; those who oppress the poor; those who build their happiness on tears of other people; the two-faced (those who work for favor, pretending to worship); the immoral, the idolaters, the murderers; all liars; and unbelievers." Those who follow Satan's works must be banished to hell forever. Why? Because God is Holy. He lives in unapproachable light. Friend, we DARE not live for this perishable world. We dare not refuse to prepare for heaven.
1 Explain, please, how we can prepare for heaven.
2 You have heard this. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. God is angry against our sin. Yet His love for us is great. He is not willing for any of us to perish. Yet full payment must be made for our sin. Jesus Christ (God's beloved Son) agreed with the Father to make full payment. He agreed to be the sacrifice for mankind's sin. Jesus Christ did this for us on the cross. He died to make full payment for our sins. He suffered death and hell for every man. He made peace for us with God. Three days Jesus Christ lay dead in the grave. But death could not hold Him, because He was God. He arose victorious. He returned in triumph to heaven. Now He will lead all who follow Him (Jesus Christ) out of this perishable world. After death they will arrive in Heaven. Jesus Christ, Himself, is our `Way of Escape'.
1. I understand now. I am done with my own merit. I leave my sins. I believe on Jesus Christ with all my heart.
