How to Become God's Child

The true God, Who lives in heaven, and Who is the Creator of heaven and earth and everything that is in it, has sent a message to all the people of the world. This message is in a book called the Bible, and it tells how God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ into the world to take the punishment of our sins. He loved us so much that He died on the cross so that we need not be punished in hell, the place of fire and torment forever. Then Jesus rose from the dead and went back to heaven to be with God, His Father, and is living there now.

There is only one God and He is three. Just like you are one, but you have body, soul and spirit, even so God is One. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God says that everyone must worship Him and Him alone. As many as receive Jesus as their Saviour from sin become the children of God. He also said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." By believing Him and receiving Him into your heart you will become God's child and He will from that moment be your Heavenly Father. He will help you with all your cares and problems. You can talk to Him as to your dear Friend and your heart will be filled with peace and joy. He will put His Holy Spirit in your heart, and you will be filled with peace and joy. He will put His Holy Spirit in your heart,and you will want to obey Him. You will turn your back on all your evil habits and old customs and do only that which is right. When you die, you will go right to heaven to live with Him forever, where everything is beautiful and happy.

Perhaps you are thinking, "I want to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, but I do not know how." God said in His Word,"With the heart man believes, and with the mouth you confess." You are believing right now, aren't you? You believe that Jesus took the penalty of your sin on the cross and that He died and rose again to save you. Now you must confess it. You must speak it with your lips. Tell God, "According to Your Word, I know I am a sinner, but I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins, and I accept Him now as my only Saviour." The moment you do this your sins are forgiven and you have become God's child, because you believed it down in your heart and you spoke it with your lips. Now you can rejoice and thank your Heavenly Father because He has made you His child. Now how do you know it? Because God's Word says it. It says, "As many as received Jesus, to them gave He the right to become the children of God, even to them that believed on His name."
