You Must Be Born Again

Would you like to go with me while I feed the chickens, and gather the eggs? All right. (Pause 4 sec. - cat). Just a minute while I get mother cat some milk. Where are your babies, mother cat? Are they all asleep? Oh, no! listen to them! (Pause 4 sec. - kittens)

Now we can go. Let's look in the barn on the way and see Blackie's family. There they are over in the corner. Hello, Blackie, how are your puppies? They were born a week ago today. Aren't they cute? (Pause 4 sec. - puppies)

Well, there are all kinds of families, aren't there? Cat families, dog families, and there is another family. (Pause 5 sec.- pigs) Old mother pig and her children. Listen to those funny pigs. . .

Well, . you never heard of a pig being born into a dog's family, or a puppy into a cat's family, did you? Of course not. You look for pigs in pigs' families, and dogs in Dogs', because that's where they are born.

And do you know what? God has made everything that way in the whole world. He even has told us that we have to be born a second time if we want to be in God's family. That's right. The Bible says, "You must be born again."

Here we are at the chicken yard. Here, chick, chick, chick, come and eat. (Pause 5 sec.- chickens)

You see, the first time you were born, you were born into your family. That's why you belong to your mother and your father. And so if you want to belong to God and have Him for your heavenly Father, you have to be born into His family, too.

How can that happen? Well, it is something that only God can do. When we let Christ come into our hearts, then God makes us a part of His family. The Bible says: "As many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become the sons (or children) of God."

So if YOU want to belong to God's family, you can ask Jesus to forgive your sins and to come into your heart, and He will do it and will make you God's child.

Here is another verse for you to remember. Jesus said it, Himself. "Truly, truly, I say unto You, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
