The distribution was marked with activities including playing of the recorded messages, distributing the mp3 players, SD cards and 5fish leaflets while the film titled 'Walking with Jesus' was played at night, which both the Christians and the Muslims watched together. Interaction at different levels in Mbat speaking communities.
Recording content was well understood and appreciated by the natives because this will break the communication barrier and create opportunity for full participation of the uneducated in the church.
Some communities were not accessible by vehicles but with the help of motorcycles we were able to reach out to them. 7 native communities and 9 local churches were involved in the outreach.
Despite the high influence of Islam as the majority, the minority Christians are passionate and zealous for the work of the kingdom. They emphasized the impact that this material will have on the Church and their people at large. Most pastors made a commitment to use these materials in their church programs.
Some communities have fluctuating networks while others do not have them at all. Therefore, bringing them such materials was a well thought through idea by GRN. The recipient's excitement cannot be overemphasized.
Despite the several breakdowns of our vehicle which ended up being towed to Jos, the journey was safe. Praise the Lord!
