Jesus said, "Love your enemies, pray for them that treat you badly, in everything give thanks." He said: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are they which hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. . . Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father Which is in heaven."
Jesus went among the people healing them and speaking words of comfort. He said, "The Son of God has power to forgive sins." "Come unto Me, and I will give you rest." Jesus was the Son of God. He had the power of God and spoke the Words of God. God's Words are written in the Bible and every one living may read them or listen to them and know how to be saved from sin and how to live a good life. We must desire to know God and do His will with all our hearts. Jesus said, "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all the needed things of life will be added unto you".
His words are true words; they are words of life. We love to listen to them. He said, "If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you, for apart from Me you can do nothing. Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man which built his house upon the rock; and the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house; (Pause 3 sec.) and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock. And everyone that hears these sayings of Mine and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man which built his house upon the sand. (Pause 5 sec.) And the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell; and great was the fall of it.
(Pause 8 sec.) "Verily, verily I say unto you, he that hears My Word and believes on Me has everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation but is passed from death unto life." And when you have received Christ, live by Him and His Word. ("Wherefore, laying aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the Word of God, that you may grow thereby.")
