\s1 The Woman and the Dragon
\p \v 1 And a great sight appeared in the sky: it was a woman who dressed the sun, and under her feet was the moon on her head she wore a crown with 12 stars. \v 2 She was waiting to give birth when she heard the birth-pains in suffering she cried out. \v 3 And another sight appeared in the sky: It was a huge red snake it had 7 heads and it had 10 horns all the heads were covered with crowns. \v 4 With its tail it dragged down thirty-three percent of the stars from the heaven down to the earth. It stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth it could devour the child. \v 5 She gave birth to a son, who "will rule all the nations with his iron rod." And when the child was born, he was snatched away to heaven and to God where his throne. \v 6 Then the woman fled to the desert to a place that God was prepared for her, where she could be take care of for three and half years.
\s1 Satan Thrown Down to Earth
\p \v 7 A war broke out in the heaven. Michael and his angels (heavenly messengers) fought the huge snake, and the huge snake fought together with its angels. \v 8 The big snake was defeated, and the snake and its angels have no place to stay in heaven. \v 9 And the huge snake was thrown down which is the same snake of the old days (previous) that was called the devil, or Satan, the deceiver of the whole world, was thrown down from the heaven to the earth, together with his angels. \v 10 I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying: “now the salvation and power and kingdom of our God, and the authority of Christos has come. Because the accuser of our fellow believers have been thrown down, He is the one who accused them day and night before our God. \v 11 And they defeated him with the blood of the lamb and the words of God that they proclaimed; And they were willing to give up their lives and die for the truth. \v 12 That is why you must be glad, you heavens and you who live there! but how bad will it be for you on the earth and the sea, because the devil went down to you! and he is very angry, because he knows that his time is short.''
\p \v 13 When the snake realized that it had been thrown down on earth, it began to pursue the woman who gave birth to the Son. \v 14 She was then given wings of the big bird, so that she can fly to the desert where she will be taken care of for three and half years, so that she will stay away from the big snake’s attack. \v 15 And the snake threw out of its mouth water like a river, after the woman so that she can be swept away in the water of the big river. \v 16 But the land helped the woman because it opened and swallowed the river that came from the mouth of the big snake. \v 17 So the snake became very angry with the woman and went to attack the woman’s descendants - those who obey God’s commandments and keep on sharing about Jesus.
