GRN has workers in Africa and Asia who are facing significant challenges during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Some have fallen ill and contracted COVID-19. Some are still recovering. We are thankful that none have died. High inflation rates are widespread, meaning the monthly allowance of some no longer covers the basics. Some part-time workers have lost their other job which compounds the problem.
The apostle James wrote in chapter two, verse 14-18: What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, "Go in peace; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
As an expression of love and solidarity, GRN has been helping our workers in need during this crisis. To date GRN Australia has sent over $28,000 to help them. The needs remain and we plan on sending more. If you would like to join us and help our people at this difficult time please make a donation. Any excess funds will be used to replenish GRN's emergency fund and for overseas staff support.
As you pray please also pray for revival. Pray for the good news to be proclaimed around the world. Pray for God's work in human hearts to bring conviction of sin, repentance, and saving faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Ask our Lord to guide people to GRN resources in their own language as they search the internet.
