متن کتاب
The Bible says, "Ask and ye shall receive." That's a promise. It means, pray to God and He will answer you. You ask me, "What is prayer?" It is talking to God just like you would talk to your father or your mother. But remember, you can't see Him with these physical eyes. You can only see Him with the eyes of your heart. Someday He is coming back to earth again in His physical body! Then you can see Him with your physical eyes as well.
The very first prayer that we make to God must be something like this, because all have sinned. In order to be God's child we must have our sins forgiven and our hearts cleansed. "Dear God, I am a sinner, but I am sorry for my sins and don't want to do wrong things any more. I believe that Jesus died for me on the cross, and I trust Him to wash my heart clean and make me His child. Amen."
When you have prayed that prayer from your heart, you are then God's child.
"I love you with my whole heart. Help me to tell all my friends about You and Your great love. Help me to always do what You want me to do. In Jesus name I ask it, Amen."
When you receive Jesus as your Saviour He comes into your heart to live and to keep you from doing wrong. But if you should disobey and do or say anything wrong, go to Him right away and ask Him to forgive you.
"Dear Lord, forgive me for disobeying. I'm sorry I did it. My heart is not happy. Please wash it out of my heart by your precious blood. I ask it all in Jesus' dear name, Amen."
Ask Jesus to teach you to pray, and He will. Every day you will want to talk to God more and more. When you are happy, tell Jesus about it; when you are sad, talk to Him; when you are lonely, go to Him; and when you don't know what to do, ask Him to show you. Don't stop praying.
Praise and thank Him for everything, for happy things and for hard things; for food, clothes, family, friends, the Bible, and God's love. Thank Him for Jesus, for His love & care, for the home He is making for you in heaven, for His protection, and His care of you.
Pray to Him when you wake up in the morning. Thank Him before you eat your meals, and at night before going to bed. Talk to Him in your heart at any time: while you are out playing, while you are sitting down, and when you are working. Jesus is your dearest friend, and He loves to have you talk to Him.
