Jericho (Battle of)
Eskema: Everyone who lived in Jericho perished when the walls fell down and Joshua attacked, except those behind the red cord in Rahab's window. To escape the wrath of God we need to be standing behind the red cord of Christ's blood shed for us on Calvary.

Gidoiaren Testua
(Fanfare) Narrator: God had brought His people out of Egypt. Many miracles had been seen in the wilderness journey... now Moses had died, and with Joshua, their new captain, Israel stands at the walls of Jericho.
SCENE: (Joshua in clanking armour) (sounds): "Halt, who goes there?" (silence).
Joshua: "I'd better guard carefully. That One over there looks like a warrior too. Are you for us, or are you an enemy?"
VOICE: "Nay, but as Captain of the Hosts of the Lord am I now come!"
Narrator: Joshua fell on his face (clanking sound and thud).
Joshua: "What says My Lord to His servant?
WARRIOR: "Loose the shoes from off your feet. The place whereon you stand is Holy Ground."
Narrator: Then the Lord told Joshua how He would order the battle...Jericho was shut up...one day march..blow trumpets, 2nd day the same, until the 7th day when they were to go around marching 7 times and blowing the ram's horn trumpets.
(Sound of marching feet and trumpets) Narrator: Thus they did on the first day.
(Sound of marching feet and trumpets) Narrator: Thus they did on the second day, third day, fourth through to the sixth day. On the seventh day before it was daylight, there was the longest sound of tramping and trumpeting: SEVEN TIMES ! Then Joshua called out,
Joshua: "Shout aloud, for the Lord has given you the city!" (Great shouting and Joshua crying) "Thank You, Lord, for the Victory!"
(Terrific noise of falling walls).
Narrator: Everybody in the city of Jericho perished EXCEPT Rahab and those sheltered by her behind the scarlet (bright red) cord in her window on the wall.
This world is under the curse of God because of SIN. The wrath of God abides on the unsaved... and the only ones who will be saved when God's hour comes, are those under God's precious scarlet cord.
Do you know what this is? Do you remember how the precious Son of God poured out His life-blood on Calvary to save us sinners?
Do you see the bright red line that flowed at Calvary? Are you safe today because you are trusting in HIM and His precious blood? "He who believes on the Son HAS everlasting Life; and he who believes not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." (John 3:36).
