"If I turn to the true God, and believe on Jesus, what will Jesus do for me?" you ask.
God answers from His Book and says: "From all your filthiness and from all your idols will I cleanse you." This means He will forgive your sins and He will remove them as far away as the east is from the west.
You may ask, "What can I do if my heart still wants those things?" Again, God answers from His Book and says, "A new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you." This means that He will give you a new heart. This new heart does not want those old idols and those old sins any more. It is a heart that loves God and wants to please Him.
You may say, "I feel weak. How can I walk or live this new life?" Again God says in His book, "I will put my Spirit within you." That means His own Holy Spirit, His own self. He will come and live within you. He will cause you to love His laws and obey them. Turn to Him and give yourself to Him; then, He will live and work in your heart. He will make you want to do the things you should. He will give you the power to do them. He will show you what you should do.
"Can this be true?" you ask. Yes, for God says to you, "And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be My people and I will be your God." That means that you will not get lonely. God will be with you, and you can talk to Him. He will draw near to you, and take you by the hand. And then He also says, "I will save you from all your uncleannesses." There is nothing that He is not able to save you from.
He will make you a blessing to others, and He will cause you to bring others to know Him as their Saviour, too. Nothing will make you happier than to bring others to God also. Tell them about Jesus, your Saviour God. You yield yourself to Jesus-God, and He will be your strength. Lean hard on Him. He will lead you in the paths of righteousness for His Name's sake.
Will you talk to Jesus now? Say to Him, "Oh, I do receive you Jesus as my Saviour. Thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for cleansing my heart from sin and for coming into my heart to live so that I can be obedient to You. How can I ever praise You enough, or do enough to show my love for what You have done for me this day?"
