Script Text

Have you ever wondered why God Who created the heavens and earth has not spoken to us? Well, He has, and we have the accurate record of it in the Bible.

Listen! The people of Israel were encamped in the Sinai valley. On the third day, Mount Sinai was filled with smoke, because the Lord descended upon it with fire. (*) The mountain quaked. There were thunderings and lightnings. (PAUSE 3 SEC.) The people trembled and moved afar off, and God spoke all these words, saying: (PAUSE 5 SEC.)

(SOLEMN VOICE) -

I am the Lord your God. (IF POSSIBLE, PUT IN SHORT ARRESTING SOUND EFFECT BEFORE EACH COMMAND). You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make unto yourself any graven image or likeness of anything in heaven or in earth or in the water...You shall not bow down yourself to them nor serve them. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. Remember the seventh day to keep it holy. Six days shall you labor...but the seventh is holy unto the Lord. Honor your father and mother. You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness (lie). You shall not covet. (PAUSE 5 sec.)

In this manner, God gave His law to Israel that they might be a holy people and a light to all nations. (*) But they soon forgot God's words and disobeyed Him.

All were sinners - not only Israel but you and I as well, and the penalty of sin was death and hell. But God is so full of love and mercy that He sent His own beloved Son, Jesus Christ, down from Heaven - to pay our penalty. Jesus bore your sins and mine in His own body on the cross. He gladly laid down His life for us and God raised Him from the dead.

(NEW VOICE IF POSSIBLE) "Be it known unto you therefore, that through this man Jesus, is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: and by Him all who believe are justified from all things, (*) from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses."

Shout for joy! Look upon God's perfect sacrifice for your sin. O, call upon Him to be your Saviour. His wounded hands stretch wide, saying, "COME! COME!
