This was a project that was proposed as a result of the Chonyi people's complaint. Some of the Chonyi language materials from the GRN archives were found not to match the language and could not be understood by the people. Therefore, a fresh recording was to be done.
The Chonyi population was 338,000 at last count. Chonyi people are 50% Christian and with at least 10% Evangelical, Islam 20% and Ethnic religion 30%.
Glory to God, in February-March James recorded the whole Look, Listen & Live program from #1-8 and The Living Christ program (1. Growing In Christ Life and 2. How can we please God).
Our recordist is in the editing stage and the complete recordings will be ready by the end of June.
We pray with expectations that this work will boost the morale of the Pastors and evangelists working within the Chonyi community churches. We believe these materials recorded in Chonyi language will be very helpful to the old and the illiterate and the church as a whole who will listen more to the Word of God for salvation and redemption. We believe and pray that these recorded materials will touch the life of more than 3,000 people in the Chonyi community.
