"Capacity Building" is one of the 'buzz' words of modern mission work. For many mission activities it is not enough to simply do ministry or mission. It is also essential to build the capacity of others, especially local believers and leaders, to carry on that mission or ministry. Hence equipping and training become important dimensions of mission work.

For many years GRN Australia has been committed to the equipping and training of local missionaries. Most of the recordings produced around the world these days are produced by non-Western recordists.

In September Noel Bachelor, Kim Knight, Greg Cooper and David Miller will be involved in running a "Technical and Operations Workshop" (TOW) in two or three locations in Africa, to provide refresher training for several of our experienced field recordists from Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Togo and Southern Africa. The plan is to build the capacity of these GRN Centres to record and distribute the life saving words of Jesus in the mother tongues of the many people groups in these countries. The skills of the trainers are multiplied many times through those who are trained.

Thorough preparation for this training is both critical and extremely difficult! The burden for this planning falls largely on the capable shoulders of Alex Shaw.

Please pray for the preparation, the people (trainers and trainees) and in particular the outcomes of this program. Pray that the end result will be more people hearing the Good News of Jesus in their own language and coming to a saving knowledge of him.

Thank you again for your partnership with us in this significant ministry.

Yours in Christ's service,

Graydon Colville
