A Minute with the USA Director - August 2006
By Colin Stott, Executive Director of GRN USA
I was in India recently to take part in planning meetings for Project India. God has given us a vision to tell the story of Jesus in every language of that great nation. While there, I was able to visit several cities and villages. Boy, did I feel small and powerless in the face of overwhelming needs and spiritual darkness. After all, what could I or our small teams do, as zealous and committed as they are, to make a significant impact and difference in so many lives?
God reminded me though that He has given us the mind of Christ which is essential for carrying out our assignment. His mind is never overwhelmed. It always sees things from the Father's perspective. His mind knows that all things are possible with God. It knows that His ability to feed a multitude with a few loaves and fishes is still able to accomplish much through our meager resources.
His mind knows for sure that the great commission WILL be accomplished. God has allowed us to see what John witnessed in Revelation 7:9. "...I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb." This great gathering includes people from every tribe and language in India! It excites me a lot to think that when that scripture was written, God had planned that Global Recordings Network and Project India would have a part one day in the fulfillment of that prophecy.
The mind of Christ allows us to have a true perspective on any situation. While our ancient foe wants to paralyze us into inactivity by having us focus on the "giants" in the land-the obstacles and the impossibilities, the mind of Christ directs us to focus on the greatness of God. When He is part of the equation, it is only a matter of time before these "giants" are taken out, either by a few stones and a sling...or by the singing of His praises...or by any means at His disposal. The victory is always His. Our part is to be available to implement it, which we hope to do many times in India.
