How God Loves Us

Love binds many things together. Love is like this: A mother loves her son, and the father loves his son. Regardless of this, a mother or father does not give life to a son or daughter. The reason they have fear of sudden death is because they cannot give life. There is an old-time story in which a mother pushed the fire away from herself first before pushing it away from her child. But my friend, our Lord Jesus Christ is God, yet He was not afraid to die in our place. God loves us greatly. HOW does He love us? All of us do not know God's way.
Some of us worship trees, rivers, mountains and magicians, and break God's law. The judgment for this is eternal death. But God loves us greatly, and gave to us His Son our Lord Jesus. Jesus was with God before the heavens and the earth were created. By Jesus' name we make our peace with God. The Word of God says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
Do you want to live forever? So that you may live forever, God gave His one Son, and by believing in His Name we HAVE eternal life. "He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him." (John 3:36).
Remember what I said about the mother pushing the fire from herself and afterward from her child? But our Lord Jesus Christ is God, and He did not think of Himself, but rather took on Himself our travail. He shed His blood for us. By Him we are made clean from our sin. No other person in heaven or on earth is able to cleanse us. Other men are not clean themselves. How can they make us clean? But our Lord Jesus Christ is always righteous. Because of this He CAN cleanse us. He loved us and shed His blood on the cross for us. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life" ( John 3:16). The Saviour of the world, our Lord Jesus Christ, says this: "I am the light of the world. He who believes on me lives in the light."
