Doug editing the Mongolian recordings
by Doug Prior
On our short term assignment with Global Recordings Network we spent several months with the GRN team in Thailand. This included two weeks with British Recordist, David McKechnie, on a trip to Mongolia.
We went to record the Look, Listen & Live series in Mongolian. With our capable language helpers, David did the recordings then I helped with the editing.
My wife, Judith, and I wanted to go to Mongolia for part of our college internship, and God arranged it for us! We enjoyed the time and we would certainly like to return one day. I saw that God is building His church in Mongolia and it was a privilege to see what is happening.

The church in Mongolia is a bit like this baby:
very young and in need of good food and nurture
The mother in the photo below has wrapped her baby well to protect him from the cold. To me, this is a good representation of the church in Mongolia - very young and in need of good food and nurture. The church needs more resources. Although the Bible is available in modern Mongolian script, there is not much else compared to the church in the West. They could use more teaching and evangelism materials. Protection from cults and negative spiritual forces are also essential, so much prayer is needed too.
Doug and Judith Prior represent GRN in Tasmania, Australia while completing studies at the WEC College.
