John Blomberg is a home-based missionary, serving with Global Recordings Network USA in our office in Temecula, California. He performs valuable service as our Chief Electronics Technician. His service to the Lord through his talents is a valuable link in getting our cassettes of the Gospel to the lost.

John first came to GR in l975, sometime after having served in the U.S. Air Force. Back in high school days when military service requirements were made known to him, he was fearful and undesirous of military service. So he registered with the local draft board as required and left the matter with the Lord. Two years later when the draft notice came the Lord had brought quite a turnaround of attitude towards the service giving him anticipation of good things to come. He enlisted in the Air Force and after schooling in electronics served as an instructor in the aviation electronics school at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. The experience gained in the Air Force enabled him to develop new and creative ways to further the Gospel.

It was during Air Force days that the Lord gave him the desire to use his newly gained talents in His service rather than to make a comfortable living for himself.

John was raised in a Christian home. Valuable teaching in the Word was given both there and in his church. He came to salvation at an early age and has delighted in learning the Word of God.

As a single person, John has been free to do some travel overseas, both to teach the repair of our cassette players to nationals and also to work with recordings distribution teams.

John is a joy to have in the Gospel Recordings family. His humble spirit, his willingness to stick to a difficult task until it is completed, his ingenuity and creativeness and his love for God radiate throughout the office. A visit to his cubicle will testify to his creativity and his untiring dedication to using whatever electronic gadget available to further the work.

In high school days the Lord gave him Isaiah 26:3 as a life verse. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. This Word has been a comforting and instructive word through life since then for John.
