John and Rosa Steinmetz are currently working at the Global Recordings Network USA home base in Temecula, California. They have a love for people and a hunger to see the lost come to the Lord.

John came to the Lord at age five in Vacation Bible School in Portland, Oregon. He has always had a love for languages, which turned into a love for the people who speak those languages. He first found Gospel Recordings materials in Germany in 1984 while working in a refugee camp among people who had no Scripture in their own languages. He experienced the power of giving the Gospel to people in their own heart language. His professional experiences and seminary education have given him talents that are very useful in linguistics and research.

Rosa is originally from South America. She came to the Lord as a young adult after being challenged by a film on the life of Christ she saw at a retreat. She began reading her Bible and invited others at her university to join her. She learned how to play the guitar to add music to the prayer and Bible study. When she left the University of Rio de Janeiro there was a Bible study in each of five faculties. She met John in Israel, where they were married in 1994 in Jerusalem. They both have a passion to reach the lost, with a special emphasis on the spiritual descendants of Ishmael.

John has been serving Gospel Recordings in several capacities. When they lived in Portland he served as a GR representative, arranging and taking meetings to share the vision of Gospel Recordings. In Los Angeles he did language research and correspondence for the Ishmael Project. Now in Temecula he continues the language research and helps process recordings.

Also, many have been blessed by the warm Steinmetz gift of hospitality which they extend generously. Their gifts and servants' hearts are vital assets to this ministry and the Lord is using this couple in the task of reaching the least, the last and the lost. Their motivating Scripture, 2 Timothy 2:15, exemplifies their desire to serve and their commitment to God's Word: Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman who is not ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

John and Rosa have three children. Emma, 16, is a Junior in high school and enjoys theater and music. Johan, 13 is in 8th grade and loves music and art. Anna,12 is in 7th grade and loves to dance.

Rosa is teaching Spanish and working as a substitute teacher as they seek to become fully supported. As the Lord leads, you are invited to partner with John and Rosa in prayer/financial support.
