Carlos and Valeria Ramos are Brazilian citizens working with Global Recordings Network USA in Temecula, California. They first came to GRN in November of 1998, having heard about the ministry at a meeting at a church in the San Fernando valley of Los Angeles. The vision of reaching the tribal groups with the Gospel in their own languages gripped them, and they immediately sought to use their gifts and talents at GR to further the kingdom of God.

Carlos and Valeria were both saved through the ministry of their church in Brazil. They left their homeland seeking the will of God for their future. They wanted to seek ways to serve the Lord and to inspire youth to missions work.

Carlos and Valeria were trained as a field recordists in Nepal (1999), and served both in Central and South America, helping with the teaching and translation at the recordist training course in Spanish (Mexico) and Portuguese (Brazil).

Now in the U.S. office, Carlos has been very helpful in the sound editing of our new recordings. He fixes sound glitches, digitizes analog tapes, improves overall sound and is also working on a project that will soon make our material available for download on the internet. All these tedious technical processes are vital to producing the best quality messages to send to the lost. His work is a valuable, integral part of presenting the Word of God in an understandable and pleasant form.

Valeria is involved in managing the home, supporting Carlos' work and occasionally working on projects for the order department from their apartment. Her joy is caring for their 2 boys, Victor (born May 19, 2001) and Jonathan (March 8, 2004). Since the recent move from Los Angeles to Temecula, the Lord has led them to become involved in the Sunday school ministry of Calvary Chapel in Murrieta.

Carlos and Valeria have definitely known the Lord's calling in their ministry and seek to always follow His plans. They claim Jeremiah 29:11-14 as special verses that have spoken to them. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord."

Their prayer requests are that God will use them in reaching the lost and in encouraging others to be involved in missions. They are always seeking the Lord's will for clear direction about their future and are working on their visa applications for permanent residence in the USA.
