Some of the new South American recording team members
The mountain in the distance is called Sleeping Beauty -
the team will need to hike up there on their next mission trip
South America
The work in South America has been boosted by the influx of several new members who recently have received recordist training. They are now getting on-the-job training and beginning their assignments working on recording projects in Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil.
The recordists are mainly in their mid-twenties, and their vision is very simple: to see the gospel of Jesus Christ available in all languages of Central and South America, especially in the small dialects. They are enthusiastic and ready to work!
India
Through your prayers and gifts, the work in India has seen the addition of five new recording team members. Recently trained, they too, like their counterparts in South America, are gaining experience working with more seasoned recordists.
The challenges in India are immense, but with the increase in manpower, we trust that the good news will get to more of the small language groups. Who can say what God will do through those who have made themselves available to His purposes?
Philippines
During the Kawa-Saka mission trip last April, the GRN-led team distributed the Good News in the Tulgao dialect. Several people listened. As they did they began to understand the gospel message. Not long after they responded and as a result, a small group of believers began meeting regularly.
The new believers were so touched by the efforts of the Kawa- Saka team who they said came all the way from Manila to their mountain homes to minister to them. Praise God for the birth of this small church.
Plans are now being made for the next mission trip at the end of April. Among the places to be visited is an area way up in the mountains called Sleeping Beauty. The team will distribute cassettes and CD's and conduct film shows and Bible studies.
