While recording in PNG this year, GRN's Sybil Shaw asked Duncan, an UBIR language speaker, to assess some old Gospel recordings.

Duncan wrote, "We have played our CD and all the people heard it. Most of the people could recognize the readers' voices. Some of the readers have died already, only a few people from that time are still alive. It was very moving and had a great impact.

"We played the recordings after Sunday service so all the congregation were there to listen. The CD player was played again and again. Now the Ubir people are looking forward to hearing the new messages which we are planning to record at Wanigela, Lord willing, next February."
