India: Penetrating the Darkness

We rejoice in the way His wonderful word is now available to so many in their heart language. In one area of India we have this wonderful report:

"Recording the gospel message in many languages and distributing them to the people is what Lok has been doing for the last 16 years for Global Recordings Network. He takes delight in pioneering the work of the gospel in many unreached areas in the regions with approximately 250 active languages and dialects. There are tribes here who are without Jesus, with no churches or missions involved, for fear of persecution or lack of needed tools and resources (such as the recordings being made for their use)."

Recently, Lok was able to bring GRN recordings to a predominantly Buddhist people who are very hostile to Christians and churches. All the past attempts to build Christian worship centers in the villages have been thwarted by the local people. Missionaries were beaten up and evicted from their villages.

However, young college students have received gospel CDs in their mother tongue and are now keenly listening to the message about the Light of the World. We are hoping that this light will penetrate the darkest of hearts and that the younger generation snared in drugs and alcohol will encounter Jesus.
