Roeli Elbers
the GRN Netherlands Team
After almost closing its doors a year ago, the work of GRN Netherlands is being revitalized.
The GRN team led by new national director Roeli Elbers has been featured recently on several radio spots and at conferences and festivals. This exposure has resulted in the distribution of 23,000 CDs in about 200 languages in the past few months. The team also launched a new evangelistic Dutch CD titled, "Unbelievable," earlier this year with a production run of 10,000 copies. They had to place another order six weeks later, such was the demand. Now they are on to their third order and there is still a great interest in this CD from various organizations, churches and bookstores.
REACTIONS
A NEW LIFESTYLE
Several prostitutes in one of the larger cities in Holland have come to believe after listening to the "Unbelievable" CD. They have stopped practicing prostitution. A Christian ministry has helped them return to their home country or to integrate them into Dutch society.
"THIS IS A MIRACLE"
We told a lady at a festival that we had the gospel available in almost 6000 languages, including the Polish language."How strange that you tell me this," the woman replied. I have prayed for this at the beginning of this day because I have recently hired three Polish employees who are hungry for the Word of God. How is this possible? This is a miracle from God."
STARTING TO BELIEVE
We are very grateful for the Tibetan, Somali and Tigrinya CDs. I played these recordings for a group of three Tibetan women. We could hardly communicate except to say 'Hello!' They listened attentively while looking at the booklets that go with the CDs. When they saw the image of Jesus with the holes in His hands, one of them put her finger on one of the holes and said 'Oh!' She understood something of His pain ...she began to believe."
