Mark and Melanie have 2 young children, Bethany (born 2010) and Samuel (born 2012). Mark grew up in Newcastle where he became a Christian at the age of 20. Having first worked as an accountant, Mark then served as a police officer in the Australian Federal Police for almost 15 years. Melanie grew up in a Christian family in Sydney and has worked for many years as a qualified Occupational Therapist. She has served in Africa on several short-term missions.

A God-given heart to serve in cross-cultural mission led them to Sydney Missionary and Bible College in 2005. After completing Bible college, Mark, Melanie and their children served in prison ministry in Fiji. In 2015, after returning from Fiji, Mark commenced working in the GRN Australia office.

Mark serves as GRN Australia's Manager of Administration, Promotions, Marketing and Volunteers. This role allows him to use his gifts and passion for mission to promote the work of GRN to mission agencies, missionaries and churches so they can use GRN resources to tell the story of Jesus to people in their heart language.

Mark, Melanie and GRN prayerfully hope that Melanie will be able to join the team at GRN. All GRN staff are missionaries who need prayer and financial support. While GRN pays a small living allowance, Mark and Melanie still require financial support to provide the bulk of their monthly financial needs. When they have enough support to cover their needs, Melanie will be able to serve with GRN also.
