SIBERIAN DECISIONS
The GRN team in Krasnoyarsk were encouraged recently with a gift of 10,000 blank CDs donated by the Bible League. These CDs have had GRN messages burned onto to them and have been distributed to several language groups of the region.
Feedback from one language group indicates that listening to the CDs has resulted in 30 decisions for Christ.
GRN PAKISTAN MILESTONE
GRN Pakistan recently celebrated its silver jubilee. The team held a special celebration in Lahore to thank God for His goodness in blessing the work in giving them 25 years of ministry in a country where there is much opposition to the gospel. God's faithfulness and protection have been very evident.
The team is gearing up for the challenges that are ahead by praying much over plans for 2009. National director, Samuel Paul writes, " It is easy to plan in the flesh, but we need God's wisdom and guidance. So the Lord has led us to be on our knees every day as we come to the office. From 8:30 am to 10:30 am we are worshiping and seeking the Lord's face. We are seeing the Lord's strength in our lives...we are receiving wisdom for the details...we see better team unity...we are seeing more open doors."
GRN IN SURINAME
GRN workers in Suriname do their distribution work in addition to their regular jobs. However, one team member was able to take the time to travel to the interior of this South American country.
It was a long journey, some of it by canoe. He encouraged the Indian chief and his people and has plans to distribute 200 cassettes in the Saramacca language.
Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) has flown many CDs to the Indian villages. In addition they have also helped write a new script for the Aukon language. This will be recorded in the studio of the Suriname Bible Society using indigenous Aukon music. It is great when missions partner together to spread the gospel.
