A lady from Africa had been committed to a women's prison in the Philippines for a number of years. As soon as we learned what her language was, we offered her a 'Good News' cassette.

Upon hearing the 'Good News' played in her native language, she was just amazed! In her own words, "How in the world could I hear my own language here. I haven't heard this since I was imprisoned, except when my brothers occasionally come to visit."

It took imprisonment in a foreign land for her to hear the Good News of God's love! Excitedly she shared her joy and the recordings with fellow inmates, using the hand wind cassette player and cassettes in the Tagalog language. They were just as delighted as she was to hear the Gospel in their own language.
