GRN Ministry among the Wantoat People

Church leaders huddled around as Pastor Nickson cranked the hand-wound cassette player. Their attention was rapt. After listening for a while they said things like, "Wow! This is true Wantoat language. Today our people mix Wantoat with other languages, and it isn't very clear. But these stories go deep and pull out the true meaning."

From beyond the grave...: Fifteen years ago the New Testament had been translated into WANTOAT, but after the initial enthusiasm, the people lost interest in it. An SIL missionary, with GRN materials, helps them rediscover God's word.

The Nipa Trip: This is the story of an audio evangelism trip in Papua New Guinea reported by Kenny McKee. Kenny and his wife Joan are from GRN UK and their colleague is Nickson Soal, a fairly new recordist. The area they are visiting is Nickson's home region.
