Alex and Sybil Shaw

Alex Shaw joined Gospel Recordings in 1969. He and his wife Sybil have lived and worked in over 13 countries. They have one son, Victor, who currently involved in Christian ministry to university students at Sydney university.

Since 1980 Alex has been involved in training national Recordists and has helped some of them to set up GRN offices in their countries. Now, as the GRN 'Recordist Development Mobilizer', he organizes the training of Recordists from many of GRN's 30+ centres and bases.

Sybil helps Alex while also continuing her recording work. To date, she has made recordings of the Gospel in over 200 languages in PNG and other countries.

Over the last 9 years they have also been leading Wokabaut distribution and outreach programs in PNG, the Solomon Islands and Peru. These provide a wonderful opportunity for Christians to have a taste of living among people of different cultures and sharing their faith by distributing the recordings.

In 2007 the Director of Gospel Recordings Philippines retired. Alex was assigned to be the Acting Director to assist the Board of GR Philippines in the interim period of searching for a new Director.
