Many travel to places like Mexico, China and India to take the Word of God to lost souls, but ministering to these same people here in the United States of America, on the National Mall surrounded by the US Capitol and the Washington Monument, now this is a whole new way of doing foreign missions - right here on U.S. soil.

Over 600,000 people travel from around the world to experience the ultimate Fourth of July Celebration on the National Mall. This is exactly why an organization called Freedom Fest DC, has been working to provide a Christian presence amongst these people. They secure a location on the Mall the size of two football fields then invite Christian organizations to come and share the Gospel in a variety of ways to those visiting throughout the week.

People were so grateful to receive a free gift in their own language on American soil. Most of them were not Americans, but are working here or traveling from all over the world.

Our greatest concentration of people came from China, India and South America. These were the ones, when told that the CD or DVD told the story of Jesus, held it close and thanked us with a sincerity you don't typically see in our culture. Then we had requests for languages such as Idoma, Icelandic, Lingala and so many others I had no idea existed. These people didn't believe we would have their language. We would go to the duplicators, burn the CD and five minutes later hand them the Words of Life in their mother tongue. Their reactions were priceless.

I've never seen smiles so big, or felt hugs that said so much.

We pray now that many will come to salvation through Jesus Christ as they listen to the CDs and DVDs.

The Bible says that the Word of God will not come back void. We ask you to join us in praying this promise and challenge you to be praying about joining our team on July 4, 2012 for an experience like no other!

We were able to distribute 2,500 GRN CDs with stories about Jesus and the Bible in over 80 languages.

In addition, we gave out over 4,000 DVDs of the Jesus Film in a variety of languages.
