Let the Light shine - A village out reach story

Pastor Iqbal was thirteen year old when he came to know the Lord as his personal Saviour. He was nineteen when he started his career as a school teacher. He was sent by the Government to a village school where there was no Christian existence. He was told by the few locals that he would not be accepted there as he was a Christian.

He was bold and proved himself as a good teacher and set a good testimony. People started liking him. He made friends with few young men who were interested in playing volleyball. He worked there for three years as a single. Then he got married and took his wife to the village too.

He was a physician also. This gave him a good opportunity to have good relationships with different families. He worked there for six years and then was transferred to another village. He left a good testimony. He used to visit his students after every four or five years' time. He had a great desire to hand out Bibles to his old students, who are now in different professional fields. Few of them are still working in the same village growing crops.

We stayed there for a night. We were able to hand out five Bibles. It was a little scary answering their questions about the authenticity of the Bible. I can see that we are in a time when we need to have a good knowledge about their books before talking to them about the Bible.

Please pray that we can go to them next time with a better preparation.

Sindh research trip

One of our staff members Mr. Younis was able to go to Sindh for research work. One of our volunteers Mr. Benjamin joined him from Karachi. They both were able to visit three tribes, Kabutra, Jandavraa and Jadgali. They have been able to give Urdu BBT material to Jandavraa and Jadgali friends. This was possible through our local friend who serves the Lord in that area.

This is a great victory. It was a little difficult for these two friends from Jandavraa and Jadgali tribe to follow the Urdu material. So our friend from that area will help them in first translating the material in Sindhi language and then they will be able to translate in their own mother tongue. This will be a big job. Please pray for God's wisdom for our friends.
