Welcome to 2008 with GRN

It looks like it will be a busy, demanding and exciting year for us. More than ever we will need the faithful prayer support of God's people. Thank you for your help through your prayers.

This year we are going to "feature" some of our volunteer workers each month along with our staff. We have a wonderful team of volunteers doing many different tasks including office/administration, finance, studio work, promotional work and even production and assembly. We would like to 'bless them' also through our prayers.

Below, you'll also see a promotion for the book "Unusual Marriage" by Bill and Jo Anne Dennett. For those of you who don't know them, I'm not going to tell you their story because the book does it so much better than I could!

The book is not about GRN but Bill and Jo Anne have had a long history of involvement with GRN. Bill actually met our founder Joy Ridderhof when she visited Australia in the early years of the work. He has been interested in the work since the days of our first Director, Stuart Mill, and right up until now.

I have read the book and found it both challenging and encouraging. It is the story of two people who have committed themselves to discerning God's will for themselves and 'sticking to it through thick and thin'! God brought them together in very unusual circumstances (would you agree to marry someone you had only met once?) and the lessons they learned together will benefit young engaged or recently married couples, 'veterans' of many years of marriage and everyone in between. In fact there is something for everyone in this book. It makes good reading and a great gift!

Only their faith and determination made their marriage work, and their gifts and experience have been used to inspire and encourage many.
