God Will Hear Us

God Will Hear Us

개요: When God first created man, they could talk together. When man rebelled, they lost that close communication. God has made a way that people may come back to Him, and Jesus explained how they should pray. This script goes through the Lord's Prayer as a good pattern for prayer, and if we pray in Jesus' name, God will hear and meet our needs.

스크립트 텍스트

When God first created man He spoke with him here on earth. He listened to man's words, and they listened to Him. But after that, people chose evil. They stopped following God and went far from Him. People knew that they were not doing as God wished. Sometimes they sacrificed to images, and asked help of departed spirits. But most of the time they received nothing.

No one will ask a stranger whom he does not know to help him and give him food like he will ask his friend. So it is between people and God. God can help everyone. He wants to help them, but many people have gone far away from Him. He has made a way so that people may come back to Him, for He sent His Son to come and take away our sin and to make us righteous before God.

The twelve disciples who accompanied God's Son Jesus when He was here on earth asked Him how they should pray. Jesus said, "When ye pray, say: "Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, and power, and glory forever. Amen." Jesus did not say that people should repeat this over and over, but that it was the pattern for prayer.

It begins "Our Father." If you believe with all your heart that Jesus, God's Son, is your Saviour, then God is your Father. "Thy will be done." God tells of His will in His book, but He also speaks in our hearts by His Holy Spirit. He enters our hearts when we believe on Jesus. We want people to know His will, and so we try to help them to repent and believe. "Give us this day our daily bread." God wants us to look to Him every day and to receive strength from Him. He says that if we do His will, He will care for us and we will have what is necessary.

"Forgive us our debts." It is written elsewhere in the Bible that "If we say we have no sin, we have not the truth," because we all fail. But if we confess, that is if we say the same thing as God about our sins, He will give us forgiveness. If He forgives us, then we also can forgive others. "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." If we think that we cannot make a mistake and fall into sin, we are not wise, because Satan will try to make us fail in following Jesus.

Our strength alone is not able to keep us, but God is able to. "For Thine is the kingdom, and the power"....We ask all this because of our lack. We also ask Him because He alone is able to give us these things. He said, "Ask and ye shall receive." In another place He said, "Ye have not because ye ask not." Therefore pray, and keep on praying, but pray to God in Jesus' name. It will please Him and it will help you.
