The need for intercessors

In early March, it was a delight to have staff from our Oceania Region (Indonesia, PNG, Solomon Islands and Philippines) in the Sydney office for our Regional Conference. As I listened to the struggles, joys and successes from the different countries, I was reminded again of the need for intercessors.

As the GRN teams do their best to "tell all the wonderful things God has done" in the heart languages of the people, they face many difficulties and challenges. Sometimes it is shortage of resources, sometimes they face opposition from governments or local religious or community leaders. Frequently they are aware of the spiritual opposition that aims to keep people bound in the darkness. Equipment problems, family illness, lack of cooperation from others and discouragement can be the result.

This is where you play such an important part in the ministry of GRN. As you exercise part of your priestly ministry to intercede for the lost and for those who are in the front line, so God works to encourage and empower his people and to rescue those in the darkness and bring them into his marvellous light.

Thank you again for standing with us and interceding for us so that the name of Jesus will be lifted up in the nations.
