Well over 3,000 decisions for Christ were written down and over 11,000 CDs in 149 different languages and dialects were given out this year during the Culiacan Project. To God be the glory!

Besides the drug wars in Mexico, there has been a drought in the central part of the country, forcing thousands of people to abandon their towns and villages to seek work. Many have come to the harvest fields of Culiacan, so for the first time we found speakers of Nahuatl de Durango, Tepehuan and Pame in the camps this year. God blessed these groups as they heard the good news of salvation in their heart languages, many for the first time.

God protected our coming, going, and resting each night, despite the drug violence. When Humvees filled with soldiers stopped at our camp on their patrols, we were able to bless them with CDs in the languages they spoke, plus New Testaments for each one!

The first week of the project went well. During the second week we moved our whole operation to Ceuta, where there are six large camps of over 5,000 migrant workers each. This meant packing up a field kitchen and warehouse for 120 people and moving to a vacant lot with no electricity or running water. That week we handed out over 1,500 CDs in more than 100 different languages. When we gave the invitation for prayer, hundreds of people streamed towards the light to be counseled and prayed for before we left their camp.

There were multiple vehicle and equipment breakdowns causing us to shift people from team to team, and revisit camps to finish distributing Cds.

One team ended up with no functioning equipment and spent the night carrying firewood for a group of Mixteco Indians. They were so grateful for the help that they made friends with the team and wanted to hear about the Jesus who spoke Mixteco!

In the end, is it not equipment or CDs that changes lives, it is the love of the Father carried by His children to people in great need of salvation and reconciliation with God. We were blessed with God's presence in our meetings, and heard people in the camps comment about feeling HIS love when we showed up with the Good News in their heart language.
