Our Director in Nigeria writes...

My first joy in this ministry is that God has written my name in the Book of Life. Everything I do, I do to say "thankyou" to God for what he has done for me on the cross of Calvary.

Outreach

The distribution team set out recently to reach the following tribal groups: Y, A, I & P! The outreach was so enriching among these groups except for the A people, who were not so excited to receive us. They are over 90% Muslims. Such was the impact of the Gospel communicated through ordinary plastic material called cassette tape, that almost everybody in the team became a "counsellor". We were asked over and over again "When will you come back again?" What a wonderful reception! Praise the Lord!

Out in the villages, Jesus words, "The field is white and ready for harvest... but the labourers are few" suddenly made so much more sense to us. Many Christian groups only focus on the cities, saturating some areas with the Gospel and sometimes end up "sheep stealing" from other groups, rather than going out into the unreached and untouched harvest fields.

Good News

The GRN Good News audiovisual presentation is proving to be a powerful tool in Nigeria these days.

One Evangelist, 'Daniel' is a major user of this material, and this is what he said:

"Since I have been using evangelistic materials for discipleship, I have never come across a powerful resource like the Good News. It eases my work; all I do now is to give my disciples the pocket Good News and the tape to listen to in private. They come back with some powerful and meaningful questions."

Last November he received 100 copies of the Good News tapes and pictures. This week he came back to report that 240 souls came to the Lord through the Good News material. He does not do "hit and run" evangelism he does "hit and possess" evangelism! In other words he disciples new converts thoroughly. He does his outreach mainly amongst Muslims, which is very risky, but since the Lord has called him to that he is not afraid. Since 2002, 210 souls have came to the Lord through the use of the Words Of Life tapes and 240 through the Good News tapes and pictures; a total of 450 more than 90% of whom were Muslim.

Prayer Points:

1. Daniel's life is at risk for what he is doing. His house is in the midst of Muslims, hence he is always a target. He needs constant cover of prayer.

2. Pray also for the lives of the new converts to be protected.
