Recordists in Spain

Last September a team of six recordists went to Spain to work with the Ishmael Project. They recorded the audiovisual script in a special format for Muslim countries. It speaks of Isa, (Jesus in Arabic) and begins with the historical account in Genesis, then builds on the words of the ancient prophets. Each cassette is distributed with a full color booklet which helps people to understand the messages of salvation through Jesus Christ.

This is the first time that Buenas Nuevas sent workers to Europe and North Africa, and the team learned much about the needs of people from over 100 countriess who have found work in southern Spain. The team is grateful for your prayers as they learned to record in Arabic and other languages, and deal with a whole new continent of languages, customs, food and religions.

This fall we plan to take a 12 person team to distribute the material recorded during the last 4 years by the workers with the Ismael Project. As God opens doors we would like to set up a base in Spain for distrubution of audiovisual cassettes and booklets in Arabic languages. Pray for our safety, that the presence of God will go before and with us, and that we be fruitful in our ministry. One key concern is for good language helpers. It can be risky for people in this region to be identified with Christianity or Westerners, so we especially need willing and capable helpers.
