Priority People, Priority Languages:
GRN Ministry in Myanmar
By Kim Knight, GRN Australia.
Local workers are actively putting to good use the new equipment and training they received when I went to visit them last year.
They make a good team as they have different skills and experience and they come from opposite sides of their diverse country. They are committed to working together to get God's word out to the 50 million, mainly Buddhist, people of their country, many of whom cannot read. The importance of recorded Bible teaching material for the 135 language groups cannot be over emphasised. For many it will be the only way they will hear the Gospel and come to understand the hope that is available for all in Jesus Christ.
In recent months, the Lord has used GRN recordings in significant ways in Myanmar. Many 'M' people, and one family from the 'S' group, have become Christians. The 'S' people are nearly all Buddhist, so it was exciting to hear of this breakthrough. We trust that this is only the beginning and that He will call many more to Himself.
